Before anyone in a procurement meeting talks about content or learning outcomes, IT has three questions — and they all come down to whether the platform will create a security headache or an integration nightmare. Here are the answers.

I’ve sat in enough procurement meetings to know how the conversation goes. Before anyone gets to content or learning outcomes, IT needs to know the platform won’t create a security headache or an integration nightmare.

Here are the three questions, and the direct answers.

1. SCORM compliance

“Does it integrate with our existing LMS?”

Hard Hat Immersive has a built-in LMS. You don’t need to integrate — the LMS is the platform. But if you need SCORM data flowing to an existing system, it’s natively compliant. No middleware. No custom API work.

2. Access and authentication

“SSO? Role-based access? How do 5,000 users log in?”

Standard SSO integration. Role-based access controls at the organization, site, and learner level. Your IT team manages permissions the same way they manage every other enterprise tool.

3. Data and deployment

“Where does the data live? What do we need to install?”

Web3D simulations run in any browser — Chrome, Edge, Safari. No client-side installation. No device management overhead. VR modules run on standard headsets your team may already own. Training data is centralized in the platform.

If your current training vendor can’t answer these three questions in under five minutes, that tells you something about how they built their platform.
